nothing is more comforting than being nestled in an embrace or being completely submerged underwater. wait, what? nothing is more terrifying than being completely enveloped in water. two words for you: The Abyss. have you seen?
i used to fill the tub up with water and count how many seconds i could stay under. one.. two... three... four....... the truth is, it really wasn't about how long i could stay submerged as much as it was about how much i loved the feeling of being completely surrounded.
there are very few things more unnerving and comforting than realizing our own sense of loneliness and recognizing our invading need for and thus connection to man.
people are jerks and are simply awful sometimes. but what can we do? denying them would be as futile as trying to ignore our need to be surrounded by them.
