i got into a conversation with a friend a couple days ago over aol instant messenger (this medium fails often) and the conversation was getting lost in translation. and i don't think it was because of a language barrier nor because of the confusion that AIM usually facilitates but i think it was because the thoughts that i was having were meant to be kept to myself for the time being. they had not yet taken shape and my friend was uncomfortable conversing from that place of indecision. our daily evolution is hard to grasp.
we are transforming and ever-evolving people and our outlook and perception of society evolves with our evolution. we may find ourselves having completely different views on a topic at one point in our lives than another point in our lives. it happens. you and i both know that. not all of the transformations are particularly provocative nor life-changing but some are of the kind you know will steer your course significantly a certain way. it varies in consequence. we are an evolving people. and with that, there is a middle point where your view is in the state of transformation or they are being shaped like play-doh and that middle point is often very confusing, exciting, mysterious and your stance: an unidentifiable blob.
we, people, are profoundly interesting specimens: there's so much variety in between us but also an innumerable number of changes occur within us.
so, i'm going to give me and you some time to let the blobs take shape. my old roommate said one day when describing her tolerance for people:
"people are mysterious. you have to let them unfold."
she gives people the freedom to evolve and to unveil themselves at their time.
