keep it sassy, keep it nice, keep me as your friend.

i was sitting in the waiting room today. with pen in hand, i had the most random urge to write the names of the girlfriends that are the closest to me now in my notepad, those that have been the most supportive in my recent past. maybe i had the urge because i needed to remember how good i have it and remember that crap happens but who cares, anyway? i needed to remember my current abundance and one of my fortunes now are my girlfriends.

as i was listing my handful of names, it dawned on me how amazing these women truly are and how lucky i am to have the support of such a brilliant group of friends who are each so profoundly different yet all so intelligent, creative, humble, kind, vivacious and adventurous.

- the entrepreneur, my soul sister and most loyal friend
- the media guru, who lives my parallel life and fellow carrier of the "too nice" gene
- the law student, my daily cheerleader and my iron sharpening iron
- the socialite/hospitality manager, my reliable partner in crime and sharer of a curious mind
- the journalist, my creative encouragement
- the social welfare advocate, fellow lover of food, art, music and all things human

all of you ladies are brilliant.
